1. Working principle:

ultrasonic water flow sensor is a non-invasive method of measuring the flow of liquids in pipes without interrupting the flow, cutting or breaking the pipe. The working principle is based on the fact that sound waves travel at different speeds in different materials.

 

Two sensors are placed on either side of the pipe, one emits sound waves and the other receives sound waves. The flow of liquid through pipes causes sound waves to change in frequency, time or phase, and these changes can be detected by receivers.

 

The velocity of the fluid can then be calculated from the time it takes for the sound waves to travel through the liquid in both directions. This can be used to determine the flow rate of a fluid in a pipe.

 

The measurement of ultrasonic flowmeter has many advantages such as non-invasiveness, accuracy and reliability. 5. Verification methods and devices:


The calibration method is the volumetric method, which requires storage tanks, water pumps, pipelines, reversing devices, standard containers and other devices. The process steps are:

 

⑴. Clamp the transducer of the ultrasonic equipment to be tested on the pipe;

 

⑵. Turn on the water pump to make the water in the storage tank flow back to the storage tank through the pipeline with the sensor and the reversing device;

 

⑶. After the ultrasonic host to be verified shows that the data is stable, turn the water outlet of the reversing device to the water inlet of the standard container, and use the meter to time;

 

⑷. During the water filling process of the standard container, record the flow value displayed by the host being verified.

 

⑸. When the water in the container is full, quickly turn the water outlet of the reversing device to the water filling port of the container, and record the water filling time of the standard container at the same time;

 

⑹. Calculate the standard flow rate according to the water injection time and the volume of the water injected into the standard container, and then compare it with the recorded flow average value to obtain the accuracy and linearity of the ultrasonic flowmeter to be tested.
