1. Product Description:
Ultrasonic level gauge is a non-contact, high reliability, high cost performance, easy installation and maintenance on-site measurement equipment, suitable for liquid, slurry, solid measurement, widely used in water treatment, municipal, chemical, metallurgy, machinery and other fields applications in manufacturing and other industries.
2. Product principle:
Under the functional control of the combined unit and electronic components, the ultrasonic level gauge or liquid level gauge emits sound waves above 20KHz to the measured object, and the echoes partially reflected on the surface of the object are received by the probe and converted into sound waves. For electrical signals, the time from ultrasonic transmission to re-reception is proportional to the distance. The level is calculated by detecting the time and calculating the measured distance from the known speed of sound.

4. Installation requirements:
For vaulted storage tanks, it is best not to install the Ultrasonic level gauge at the center of the tank roof, but at 1/2 or 2/3 of the radius of the tank roof (under the premise of meeting a certain distance from the tank wall). The domed tank top acts like a convex lens to the ultrasonic pulse, and if the probe is mounted at the focal point of the convex lens, it will pick up all false echoes. Therefore, it should be avoided to install the sensor probe in the center of the vaulted tank roof.
