1.working principle:

Handheld ultrasonic flow meters use the transit-time measurement principle to determine the flow of liquids. The device consists of a transducer that transmits ultrasonic waves through the liquid under test. The transducer also acts as a receiver, detecting ultrasonic waves passing through the liquid. Ultrasonic waves travel through a liquid at different speeds, depending on the flow rate of the liquid. As the fluid flows to the transducer, it is accelerated and takes less time through the fluid. Conversely, when fluid flows away from the transducer, it slows down and takes more time to pass through.

 

Ultrasonic flow meters measure the difference in transit time between downstream and upstream propagating waves. This time difference is related to the flow rate of the liquid and is used to calculate the flow rate using the algorithm and pipe size.

6.method Installation:

※V-method installation is the most widely mode for daily measurement with pipe inner diameters ranging from 15 mm to 400 mm. It is also called reflective mode.
